 I just joined Satsung about a month ago, and I just would like to say that I am so impressed by the usability of your website, it is probably one of the most professional websites I've seen in any private organization. Yesterday I forgot to take my receipt and one had been emailed to me by the time I got home 10 minutes later! When I was doing an internet search on Vancouver yoga, your website was initially what brought me in. And I appreciate being updated with new specials and other happenings via email.

Also, your staff is amazing! I have gotten so much out of every single class I've attended, both physically and mentally. I have felt a difference in myself since the very first class I went to. I am usually very wary of "personal testimonies" that I read online, I must say this is the only time I have found them to be entirely accurate. I am so happy that I joined.

I just wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed discovering yoga at Satsang over the past couple months. Before I started, my body was pretty constantly stiff and uncomfortable because of all the rough- and-tumble hockey and soccer I play. With yoga, I no longer feel yucky for days after a hockey game and I've noticed that all the movement I do during the day just feels better. My flexibility, while still not the greatest, has definitely improved. And yoga has been a lovely and peaceful way to start my days.
Erin is an extraordinary teacher. Kind, gentle, thoughtful, upbeat, fun, challenging and supportive. I'm looking forward to trying new classes in 2008, but I can say that Erin is one of the best teachers I've ever had in any subject. Thanks for creating such a warm and inviting studio!


I don’t know how to begin to thank Dana for her playing such a huge role in my journey to motherhood. I can honestly say that taking her prenatal yoga class made me ready to embrace motherhood with OPEN arms. I have never felt such inner peace and strength as I do now! Yoga is MY time to relax, rejuvenate and strengthen my mind and body. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Satsang, the classes are AWESOME and the people are just AMAZING! I enjoyed yoga in the 70's, and have occasionally done it on my own over the years.  When Dana & Jerilyn came to ESD in August I was hooked!  In general, it makes me good physically and I feel good about myself!  The bonus is that I spend less time vegetating!  My dad always said "Keep a smile on your face and a ray of sunshine in your heart.  Since I've been taking yoga regularly I have more aware of that "ray of sunshine".  Taking classes truly does put a smile on my face.  I am more relaxed, and physically fit than I was before, and it has made me a happier person!

 The Satsang organization offers more than just yoga, it's a place to meet all body & relaxation needs of Clark County community members. After only being open for just over one year, many Clark County members recognize the "Satsang" name out in the community because of all the organizations/events Satsang is involved: Relay for Life, SWMC Passport to Wellness, Chamber of Commerce etc. Dana Layon has accomplished a wonderful iniative with marketing her services available to Clark County, and because of that, people are meeting their body & relaxation needs, which creates a healthier Clark County!

Satsang Yoga is the warmest, most friendliest fitness and wellness center in Vancouver.  From the moment they opened their doors last March, every time you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and a heartfelt "how are you?".  The classes are amazing and the instructors truely express the mind, body, spirit connection we all need.  The massage and facial services are the best I've had due to the knowledgeable staff and warm, welcoming atmosphere.  I recommend Satsang to anyone I talk to who is interested in improving their health or has never experienced yoga because once they try Satsang, their expereince will be so positive it will make a difference in their life.

I've been a member at Satsang Yoga since it opened a year ago.  I'm very pleased to have a local yoga studio, especially one where the personnel are as enthusiastic and caring as are Dana and her instructors.  As a client, I don't feel like a client; instead, I feel like an important part of the life of the Satsang community.  I also am grateful for the range and number of classes offered so that I can have yoga as a part of my often too-busy life.  My husband and I both appreciate Dana's enthusiasm, care, and thoughtfulness during our yoga practice.  Having a regular yoga practice has helped me overcome several health issues as well as enjoy a better quality of life overall.  I recommend this studio to any who are looking for a "yoga" home.

I wanted to let you know we had our BABY GIRL on Thursday, June 21st @
2:44pm! Her name is Hannah Mariah and she is just perfect (if we
do say so...) The labor really went well, and I'm proud to say I made
it through without any help from drugs OR "augmentation." I really
think yoga helped me get through it, especially deep breathing &
focusing on one point in the room during contractions. I also used
some of the poses you suggested, and they helped as well. The ball
was good, too, but ultimately, I think it was the whirlpool pared with
the breathing that really made a HUGE difference!
 
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for all your suggestions & support
during the pregnancy. It has been great to get to know you and I've
really enjoyed the prenatal yoga. I look forward to getting back as
soon as I can, so I can bring Hannah with me to one of those Saturday
morning classes.
